Ravi Shankar

Transmigration Macabre

Shankar composed Transmigration Macabre for the British art film Viola which tells of the growth and eventual victory of a possessed man's belief that his dead wife has returned to life in the form of a cat that pursues him.
The music traces his emotional turmoil as the man, dominated by his wife during her lifetime, struggles against her baneful influence after her death.

Transmigration Macabre is an experimental, overtly psychedelic recording that combines traditional Indian classical instrumentation with tapes and electronics to great effect. The dreamlike quality of the album is extraordinary. The beauty and sensitivity of the playing out of this world.

One of my fave blogs for sure. I wanted to add Pip Proud to the request list. Also i dont know if this fits this blog but could someone please help me find stuff by these Indian born musicians
VM Bhatt
U. Shrinvinas
Kadri Golpanath
Amancio D'Silva
Two of them are guitarists so i figured the grown so ugly crowd might enjoy.
